Sister Wives’ Gwendlyn Slams ‘Horrifying’ Rumor About Dad Kody Brown and Sister Aurora: ‘I’m So Sorry You Were Tricked Into Thinking That

Gwendlyn Brown, one of Kody Brown and Christine Brown’s six children from Sister Wives, recently addressed a concerning rumor involving her father and her adopted sister, Aurora. While answering fan questions about the family’s TLC show, Gwendlyn, 21, reacted to a query regarding a photo that appeared to show Kody, 53, “making out” with Aurora, 20.

Kody, who married Robyn Brown in 2014, legally adopted her children—Dayton, 22, Aurora, 20, and Breanna, 18—from her previous marriage to David Jessop. Kody and Robyn share two children together: Solomon, 11, and Ariella, 7.

In response to the rumor, Gwendlyn made it clear that the claim was false, saying, “No, my father does not kiss his children like that. Obviously, as kids we give him a little smooch because we’re children, but no, not at all. I’m so sorry you were tricked into thinking that. That’s horrifying.”

Kody, who has 18 children in total, also shares kids with his other wives. He has Leon, 27, with his first wife, Meri Brown; Logan, 28, Madison, 27, Hunter, 25, Robert, 24, Gabriel, 21, and Savanah, 18, with his second wife, Janelle Brown; and Aspyn, 27, Mykelti, 26, Paedon, 24, Ysabel, 19, and Truely, 12, with Christine.

Despite being part of the family, Gwendlyn revealed in December 2022 that “virtually none” of the Brown children watch the reality show that has been airing since 2010. However, she has been tuning in to recap season 17 on her YouTube channel.

This latest season focused on Christine’s split from Kody, and Gwendlyn didn’t hold back in discussing her feelings toward Robyn, who had been blamed by some for the drama between Meri and Janelle. Robyn also made controversial comments about the other wives’ “stretch marks.”

In Sister Wives: One-on-One special, Kody admitted to “favoring” Robyn, the only wife he is still married to. He claimed that Christine “incites enmity toward Robyn,” and stated that Robyn had never done anything but “be kind” to Christine. Kody also criticized Meri and Janelle, saying their alleged disloyalty to him raised character issues.

Christine, who announced her split from Kody in November 2021, spoke candidly about her reasons for leaving. “It was all about having family functions, family get-togethers, and family parties. My house was always open to everybody. I loved the big family activities,” she shared. “But when you feel like you’re a minimal person in Kody’s big picture, and you really don’t even matter, it changes the perspective on everything.”

In a later conversation during the One-on-One special, Christine shared that when Kody told her he was no longer attracted to her, it was “super embarrassing,” but also a relief. “I was kind of like, ‘Oh, well then I’m done. It’s over.’”

Now living in Utah with her youngest daughter Truely, Christine is reportedly much happier. Her son Paedon shared that she is “minutes away from her two oldest daughters,” and there is a possibility that more of the children may eventually join her there.
