When asked by a female Instagram user about her marriage, Ariela replied under one of her old posts that Biniyam is single and that the Instagram user can have him if she wants. This candid comment added fuel to the fire, confirming the rumors of their separation. Like many couples from the 90 Day Fiancé franchise who are no longer together, Ariela and Biniyam joined the second season of the spin-off show 90 Day: The Last Resort to discuss their marital problems and struggles, and they only did it for the paychecks and not to fix the marriage and reconcile.
This trend of couples joining 90-Day Fiancé spin-off shows for financial gain is not uncommon. Couples like Jovi and Yara and Brandon and Julia have also been seen going on expensive trips soon after filming their seasons of the show. This is partly due to TLC’s change in their payment system, where cast members are now paid in advance when filming ends rather than waiting for their paychecks after each episode airs. This change has enabled cast members to receive their earnings more quickly and ensure their time isn’t wasted. In the past, some cast members spent months filming for the show, only for TLC to decide to cut them by mid-season or let them go before the Tell All, which isn’t fair.
